TRANSPORTATION

Arriving by Air

Washington, DC is serviced by three different airports: Reagan National (DCA), Baltimore Washington International (BWI), and Dulles International (IAD).

Reagan National is closest to the city and The Liaison Capitol Hill, but seldom has the lowest airfares. BWI and Dulles are both about 45-60 minutes from Washington, but there are shuttle and taxi services that can bring you into the city.

Getting to the Hotel

Taxi Cab
The estimated cost of a cab from National Airport is $20-$25; Dulles Airport, $65 to $75; or BWI Airport, $65 to $75.

Supershuttle

Airport Bus from BWI
Metro offers BWI Express Metro bus service between BWI and the Greenbelt metro station. The service provides a direct connection between BWI and the Greenbelt Metro Station. The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System.

From the Green Line:

  • Disembark at Gallery Place Metro Station.
  • Walk upstairs to catch the Red Line Train in the direction of Glenmont.
  • Arrive at Union Station. The Liason Hotel is 2 1/2 blocks (10 minute walk) from Union Station.

Buses run 25 times each weekday and 21 times on Saturdays and Sunday, every 40 minutes. The cost is $3.10 each way. For more information call 202-637-7000 or go to www.wmata.com.

Metro
Metro is available from National Airport Metro Station. To reach the hotel:

  • Take the Yellow Line train in the direction of Fort Totten.
  • Disembark at Gallery Place Metro Station.
  • Walk upstairs to catch the Red Line Train in the direction of Glenmont.
  • Arrive at Union Station. The Liason Hotel is 2 1/2 blocks (10 minute walk) from Union Station.

Arriving by Train

The Liaison Capitol Hill is about 2 1/2 blocks from Washington, DC's Union Station. There are plenty of taxi cabs available at the station, or if you'd prefer, it's a short 10 minute walk to the hotel.
